This research employed a qualitative approach, involving a critical analysis of existing literature and case studies of 3GP videos featuring gay individuals. A systematic search of online platforms, including YouTube and Vimeo, was conducted to identify relevant videos. The sample consisted of 50 3GP videos that featured gay individuals as main characters or subjects.

This paper has explored the representation of gay individuals in 3GP videos, highlighting the ways in which these short-form videos intersect with and reflect societal attitudes towards gay identity. The findings of this research contribute to a deeper understanding of the complex relationships between media representation, identity, and technology.
