Solid episode, but the 480p quality holds it back
This episode continues Sheldon’s awkward but endearing college journey, with some great moments between him and his grad student TA. Mary and George also get some genuine emotional beats. Story-wise, it’s classic Young Sheldon — witty, warm, and surprisingly heartfelt.
Here’s a sample review for Young Sheldon Season 4, Episode 17 (“A Black Hole, a Undergrad TA, and a Baby Ruth in the Dumpster”) in quality:
However, the release is noticeably dated. On a modern TV or monitor, it looks soft, with visible compression artifacts and muted colors. Fine if you’re watching on a phone or older screen, but distracting on anything larger. If you’re just catching up on the story, it’s watchable — but for a proper rewatch, try to find a 720p or 1080p version.
Episode good; video quality only for low-res setups or nostalgia viewing.
