If you’ve been following along, you know we’re not just watching the standard DVD rips. We’re tracking down the encodes of the 2006 BBC series. Why? Because an episode like “Who Shot the Sheriff?” deserves the efficiency.

The encode shines during the “ambush at dawn” sequence. Where older codecs would smear the foliage into a green blob, the h265 release keeps individual leaves distinct.
