Proteus Ocean Group Unveils Advanced Underwater Habitat ‘Proteus’ to Revolutionize Marine Science

According to CEO , the wet-dock assembly in Spanish Water Bay, Curaçao, is 85% complete. Proteus Ocean Group is now finalizing certification with the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). A three-week uncrewed pressure test is scheduled for May 2026, followed by the first human occupation—a 14-day mission led by Cousteau himself—scheduled for September 2026.

Proteus Ocean Group has announced a major milestone in its mission to establish a permanent, modular underwater research habitat.
