Phison MPALL is a low-level formatting and firmware restoration utility designed specifically for USB flash drives equipped with Phison controllers. Unlike standard Windows formatting, this tool performs a "pre-format" that repairs bad sectors, clears controller errors, and resets the drive to factory state. It is most commonly used to recover corrupted drives, remove write-protection errors, or restore full capacity after a failed partition operation.

Unlike generic SD formatters or Windows’ built-in tools, MPALL speaks directly to the controller’s firmware. It doesn't just delete the partition table – it re-initializes the memory chip’s internal mapping, erases corrupted ISP blocks, and re-anchors the drive’s capacity. In short, it performs a factory reset that commercial tools cannot.
