"Padmavat" is a historical drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, based on the epic poem "Padmavat" by Malik Muhammad Jayasi. The film stars Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmavati, a legendary queen of the Mewar kingdom in Rajasthan, India.

Meanwhile, Padmavati, a brave and loyal queen, is married to Raja Ratan Singh (played by Shahid Kapoor), the king of Mewar. When Alauddin Khalji attacks Mewar, Raja Ratan Singh and his soldiers prepare to defend their kingdom. However, despite their bravery, they are vastly outnumbered, and the kingdom is eventually besieged.

As the siege intensifies, Padmavati and her companions, including the trusted advisor Rani Karnavati, devise a plan to protect their kingdom and its honor. The film's climax features a dramatic and intense showdown between the defenders of Mewar and the invading forces.
