Let’s be real. Sometimes the textbook doesn’t explain why the fraction flips. Sometimes the dog ate your focus. On those nights, I turn to the apps. But here’s my rule: I use the answer to reverse-engineer the method. I ask, “Where did that 7 come from?” If I can’t explain it to myself out loud, I don’t write it down. (Okay, maybe I write it down once. But I feel guilty about it.)
