Let’s clear this up first: HP 3D DriveGuard is not an SSD-specific feature. If your laptop has a modern Solid-State Drive (SSD), this software is essentially useless (SSDs have no moving parts). However, if your HP laptop still runs a traditional mechanical Hard Disk Drive (HDD), this is a critical safety net. Better to have it and not need it
