If you go in expecting Young Sheldon: The Next Chapter , you’ll be disappointed. But if you accept it as a lighter, more traditional sitcom about young love under pressure, Season 1 is an enjoyable, if uneven, watch. It’s at its best when focusing on Georgie & Mandy’s raw, real struggles – and at its worst when recycling old sitcom tropes. Worth a watch for Big Bang completionists, but not essential viewing for casual fans.
