I realized I had been confusing fueling with feeding . Fuel is rushed. Feeding is sacred. When I slowed down, I ate half as much but felt twice as satisfied. The bloating? Gone. The 3 PM crash? See ya later. We are afraid of quiet because in the quiet, we hear the whispers we’ve been drowning out with podcasts and playlists.

During my intake phase, I learned the power of the "pause." Before answering a frantic text or walking into a chaotic room, I ask myself: Do I have the capacity for this energy right now?
