Dell E6420 Broadcom Ush Access

The Broadcom USH (Unified Security Hub) is the driver for the built-in fingerprint reader and smart card reader . Without this driver, Windows sees the hardware but doesn't know what to do with it. dell e6420 broadcom ush

Even with the driver installed, Windows Hello (face/fingerprint login) will not work natively. You must install the "Dell Data Protection | Security Tools" software from the same driver page to enroll fingerprints for Windows login. Hope this helps someone else digging this old

I just picked up an old Dell Latitude E6420 and I’m trying to get everything working on Windows 10 (and maybe 11). In Device Manager, I see a device listed under "Other devices" called with a yellow exclamation mark.
