(Benoît Poelvoorde) is the owner of a failing chocolate company. He, too, is extremely shy and socially awkward, hiding behind a gruff exterior. When Angélique applies for a job at his factory (hiding her true identity as a master chocolatier), Jean-René hires her as a sales assistant.
