He reviewed all my old imaging, sat down for 45 minutes, and explained the difference between celiac plexus blocks, Puestow procedure (pancreaticojejunostomy), and total pancreatectomy with islet auto-transplantation (TPIAT) – which I didn’t even know was an option for non-cancer chronic pancreatitis.
